Vancouver
A little while ago we were in the Vancouver area for a week visiting family and friends.
Our first day we took the ferry out to Vancouver Island to visit some friends in Comox. We drove onto the ferry, it's crazy how many vehicles can fit on those things. Both ways I didn't think we were going to make it on, but we did! We saw a killer whale on the way out, actually just the fin unfortunately, still pretty exciting though. In Comox we did some catching up with friends, played with the kids, and checked out some crabs on the beach.
Back in Vancouver the next day, we hung out with my sisters the rest of the week. Went on a couple walks in Minnekhada Park in Coquitlam, out to the pier out in Port Moody, and to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. I also bought a pretty sweet sloth shirt! I was attempting to be as cool as my little sister, but probably came up very short.
The last thing we did was the Richmond night market. So much food, so many people, so many sock shops. The food was pretty delicious though, and I wish our suitcase wasn't so full already or I would have bought a few things. So many interesting little stands there! We even got to play one of the most challenging carnival games out there........FISHING FOR DUCKS!! There were some big winners, and unfortunately some losers as well. Oh well, that's how it goes in the high stakes world of duck fishing.
So that was our week in B.C. I just want to say thanks to all the people that made it so enjoyable: Jen, my sisters Mo & Sarah, My dad Ray & Trish, my uncle Charles & aunt Evelyn, and our friends Mike & Cindy. Hopefully we'll see you all again soon!
